Decades of Delicious Tradition: Exeter Rotary Club Announces Return of Annual Apple Sale to Fund Local Scholarships

Community members can purchase fresh apples, cider doughnuts, and apple cider at the historic Exeter Bandstand to support educational funding for area students and adult learners.

EXETER, NH – September 11, 2026 – A time-honored autumn tradition returns to downtown Exeter this month, offering residents a delicious way to support local education. The Exeter Rotary Club’s annual Apple Sales fundraiser will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026 at the historic Exeter Bandstand from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (or until supplies sell out).

For decades, this event has served as a cornerstone of the community’s fall season. Local Rotarians will sell fresh, locally sourced apples, cider doughnuts, and apple cider. All baked goods and produce are proudly sourced in partnership with regional favorites, including Applecrest Farm and Apple Annies.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale are converted directly into educational scholarships. Over its lifespan, the event has raised more than $75,000 to help local students defray the rising costs of higher education and technical training.

"Our annual apple sale is the perfect example of a small club punching above its weight to make a significant local impact," said Bob Mitchell, President of the Exeter Rotary Club. "Every apple or product purchased directly funds the academic and career dreams of a neighbor right here in our community."

The scholarship funds raised will be distributed across three vital local pillars: Exeter High School, Seacoast School of Technology, and Exeter Adult Education.

Supplies are known to sell out quickly. Members of the community are encouraged to arrive early at the Bandstand to secure their autumn treats and support local scholars.
