Exeter's Brendan DuBois Finishes Strong in 'Jeopardy!'

Exeter's Brendan DuBois finished a strong run on the game show "Jeopardy!," coming in second place in his second game during an episode that aired tonight.

DuBois, a novelist and former newspaper reporter, won his first game and brought home $23,000.

DuBois put in a strong performance but lost in his second game, which aired tonight. He was leading with $8,400 after first round but fell to last place by the end of the second round.

He guessed wrong on the final question, which asked which female singer had No. 1 albums in five consecutive decades from the 1960s to the 2000s. The answer was Barbra Streisand. DuBois guessed Diana Ross.

DuBois' winning round aired Saturday morning. The shows were taped several months ago.
