Exeter's Hassan Nets Veteran Fundraiser

Exeter resident and gubernatorial candidate Maggie Hassan this week nabbed veteran political fundraiser Alan Reische for her campaign.

Reische, who has worked with Gov. John Lynch and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, will serve as Hassan's finance committte chairman.

In a statement, Hassan said there are "numerous" out-of-state groups opposing her run.

"It is critical that we are able to raise the money to compete," Hassan said in the statement.

Reische said he will get to work quickly.

Exeter resident Karen Prior, a longtime friend of Hassan’s, will organize a grassroots fundraising effort.
