Exeter's Main Street Foreign Auto Moving to Stratham

Another Exeter business is packing up and moving across the border to Stratham.

Main Street Foreign Auto, which does work on foreign cars, is moving to 22 Portsmouth Ave., according to a sign recently posted outside the business.

Main Street Auto had been located in Exeter just outside the downtown area west of Phillips Exeter Academy.

The reason for the move was unclear. No one answered a phone number listed for the business Thursday.

A few weeks ago, The Meat House to close its meat counter inside On the Vine Market and move to a standalone store in Stratham. The new Meat House store will also be located on Portsmouth Avenue, a small strip mall that features a variety of businesses. It's scheduled to open later this month. On the Vine is now running .
