Exeter Swim and Racquet Club Raises $1.1 Million

Exeter Swim and Racquet Club is designed as a casual private swim, tennis, fitness and social club scheduled to open in 2016.

Exeter Swim and Racquet Club (Exeter SRC) is pleased to announce successfully raising $1.1 million due in large part to its relationship with New Rye Securities, the Rye, NY-based broker dealer.

“We are also extremely grateful for private investments made by Dr. Mark Levin, Amy and Ben McLaughlin, and a small number of other private parties”, said Jon Morgan, partner and investor contact for the club. “In addition to these investors, the 11 Charter Member families, along with the 45 Founding Member families, have made a strong statement of support for bringing Exeter SRC to our community.”

Upon opening next year, Exeter SRC will offer a 6-8 lane, 25-yard heated swimming pool with an extended shallow space that will be available for lap swim, lessons, and family recreation. An additional children’s pool/splash pad will also accompany the main pool. During the cold weather months, an air dome structure will be placed over the pool area making it accessible for year-round use. The club will also feature 5 hard-surface tennis courts and two platform tennis courts. Surrounding these highlights will be inviting/comfortable outdoor seating areas with ample green space for games and events, as well as maintained wooded trails for running, snowshoeing, and exploring.

The interior of the 10,000 square foot clubhouse will boast a well-designed fitness center with adjacent locker rooms and showers. A supervised children’s room will also be available to provide members an opportunity to workout or enjoy a relaxed meal. Adding to the social atmosphere will be the Exeter SRC bar & grill which will provide casual indoor/outdoor dining as well as to go ordering for poolside enjoyment and convenience.

Members will have the option to sign up for a variety of programs including swim and tennis lessons, tennis leagues, and personal/small group fitness training. In addition, the club aims to promote a welcoming community environment for members. Exeter SRC will offer on-going social events including holiday parties, movies by the pool, date nights, moms’ morning out, bocce/croquet/badminton/corn hole tournaments, and various other workshops and gatherings.

Program offerings will continue grow in line with the Exeter SRC member desires. “The Charter and Founding Members will participate with us to develop programming, community development, and engagement concepts as we continue preparing to open our doors in 2016”, said partner Laurie Smith. “We strongly encourage interested individuals, couples, and families to join our community and to take advantage of the specials limited to our first 100 members by reserving their membership today.”
