Exeter Voters Cast Ballots In Town, School Races Tuesday
Voters have competitive races for library trustee and school board seats as well as warrant articles and budget items on March 9.

EXETER, NH — Voters in Exeter go to the polls on Tuesday, March 9, to cast ballots for town and school offices, budgets, and other items.
The election will be held from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Seacoast School of Technology in the Talbot Gym at 40 Linden St. Masked and non-masked voters will have separate entrances to the gym to vote (view a map here).
There is a single competitive town race: Four candidates are seeking three, three-year trustee of the library seats: Mary Lafreniere, Denise Leonard, Deb Wold, and Laura Wyskiel.

Article 2 proposes changes to the public capital facilities impact fee ordinance.
Article 3 will budget $5.1 million for sewer and water improvements in the Salem Street area of town.
Article 4, if approved, will budget $3.6 million for a solar array.
Article 5 would budget $2.6 million to remove sludge from wastewater lagoons on Newfields Road.
Article 6 is a $1 million proposal to develop groundwater sources in town.
Article 7 would appoint residents to budget and other committees.
Article 8 is an article proposing a $19.8 million budget with a default budget of $19.9 million budget.
Article 9 budgets $4 million with a default budget of $3.6 million for the water operating budget.
Article 10 proposes a $7 million sewer budget with a default budget of $6.9 million.
Article 11 is $26,459 in raises for police officers.
Article 12 is $980,000 for bike paths and sidewalks on Kingston Road.
Article 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 are different sums of money for evaluating alternatives for a new public safety complex, money for parks improvements, a sick leave trust fund, conservation fund money, snow and ice deficit funding, money transfer to eliminate the Stewart Park Seawall deficit from 2005, and transfer to the Swasey Parkway Trust Fund.

SAU 16 also has competitive races for school board.
Two, three-year Exeter Elementary School board seats will be voted on with three candidates running: Devon Skerritt, Patricia Surrette, and Debra Wheeler-Bean.
There is also a write-in option for the Exeter Region Cooperative Budget Advisory Committee seat. That seat is for three years, too.
