Nurse Sues Exeter Hospital After Hepatitis C Outbreak
Kerry Dosceteau said she was wrongly terminated.
A former Exeter Hospital nurse has sued the hospital for wrongful termination after she said administrators falsely linked her to a disastrous hepatitis C outbreak.
Kerry Descoteau said she had no part in the outbreak, which prosecutors said was started by medical technician David Kwiatkowski. Kwiatkowski was charged with spreading his hepatitis C to 32 patients by injecting himself with their medication to get high. He faces 98 years in prison.
Exeter Hospital attorney Debra Ford issued the following statement about the lawsuit:

"Exeter Hospital vigorously denies the allegations in the Complaint and intends to defend this case aggressively. The termination was specific to Kerry Descoteau. The Hospital expects that the Court will dismiss the matter at the appropriate time."
