Exeter YMCA Opens Sept. 11

Ribbon cutting ceremony to be held at 8 a.m.

About a year ago – on Sept. 16 – an estimated 200 enthusiastic supporters of the YMCA attended a historic ground breaking ceremony for the Exeter Area YMCA.

Despite immense snowfall, and without reducing existing services to the community, the Exeter Area YMCA will open with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. The Exeter Area YMCA is located at 56 Linden St. in Exeter. Tours of the building will follow brief remarks and a moment of silence.

The Exeter Area YMCA is a major expansion of Southern District YMCA services to the community, and offers positive economic development throughout southern New Hampshire. The 33,000 square foot multi-generational health and wellness center offers members and others opportunities to discover wellness, improve their physical and mental health, socialize and get support, find freedom and so much more.
