
Exeter native Chris Carpenter will make his third start of the World Series tonight as his St. Louis Cardinals look to top the Texas Rangers in the final game of a wild series.
Carpenter earned a victory in game one and a no-decision in Game 5. He's going for his second World Series title.
The Cardinals were down 3-2 in the series but forced a Game 7 last night in spectacular fashion, as David Freese hit a walk-off home run in the 11th inning.

Game 7 will be televised tonight on Fox at 8:05 p.m. Locally, it will be shown on Comcast channels 16 and 806.
The 36-year-old Carpenter, who was born in Exeter, won his first World Series in 2006 with the Cardinals.
