Fatal Accident Closes Route 101 for Hours
New Hampshire State Police are investigating a crash this morning that took the life of the driver of a pickup truck.
CANDIA, NH - New Hampshire State Police are investigating a fatal accident this morning that closed down and re-routed sections of both sides of the highway, according to alerts online.
NHSP and Candia Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the scene of a pickup truck rollover on Route 101 East at Mile Marker 108, between Exit 3 and Exit 4, at around 7:30 a.m. on April 8, 2016. A second vehicle went into the median attempting to avoid the rollover, according to alerts.
The highway was closed while first responders attempted to remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver was declared deceased at the scene.

Route 101 was closed four about four hours for while NHSP re-routed traffic from Exit 3 and detoured morning commuters to Exit 4, according to alerts online.
Details about the person who lost their life are not known at post time.

Route 101 was reopened to traffic at just after 11 a.m., according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department.
