Fireworks in the Sky Shipment to Tanzania Orphanage Looking For Sponsors

The next shipment of books will be sent in July.

Author Layne Case, owner of AMITY Publications, was recently named the Executive Director of the Coalition for Children’s Book Authors, according to a press statement.

Over 20 authors from ages 10-60+ from all over the country have joined together, determined to get books into the hands of children. The coalition has recently joined up with the Children Care Development Organization (CCDO). One of their projects is building a library in an orphanage in Tanzania, E. Africa.

The next shipment of books called “Fireworks in the Sky” is set for July 3, 2015. As of now this shipment includes books published by seacoast authors such as Layne Case, The Charlie Books, 14-year-old Lauren Tarbuck, Room of Shawdows, and Stephanie Workman, Lucy’s Amazing Friend. More authors are expected to join this shipment.

“We are very happy to inform you that we have received the box of books you have sent us on November 24th last year. We’ve found all the enclosed copies of Charlie plus other books like Lucy’s Amazing Friend, It’s Not Always As It Seems, Lucas the Traveling Crab, Flannery’s First Trip, Ethan’s Barbershop Singing Family, and The Two Bite Club that were contributed to us by your friends. We are touched in a very special way by the effort that you and your fellow authors show at serving children in need. Please receive and pass our heartfelt thanks to you and them. We wish you the best of luck in all the activities you’re doing. We have attached pictures of our children holding books.” By CCDO Deputy Director Ezgard Fungo
