Five Local Places to Shop This Weekend

Today is Small Business Saturday.

Exeter is great place to shop small, with many business located in the downtown area and elsewhere. Some have been in town for 90+ years.

1. . This sports apparel store will be open Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The store is expanding its regular hours for the holiday season, opening its doors Sunday 12-4 p.m. and Thursday until 8 p.m. The store is celebrating its 91st year in Exeter.

2. Tranquility Salon & Skin Care. It will be open today 10 a.m.-6 p.m., offering 20 percent off all products. If you buy a $100 gift certificate you get another for $20. The store is also collecting items for th Toys For Tots program.

3. . The landmark bookstore will be open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday. To celebrate its , the store is offering a "20 20 20" membership. For 20 dollars a year, you get 20 percent off 20 select hardcover books every month.

4. . The toy store will be open 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. It's a perfect place to pick something up for the little ones.

5. . The garden store will be open Saturday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. At 1 p.m., it's holding a short class on how to plant holiday bulbs.
