1. IT'S RESTAURANT WEEK!: Three Exeter restaurants are participating in Portsmouth Restaurant Week. We ran 's Restaurant Week menu earlier in the week and yesterday. This afternoon we'll have a look at Epoch's Restaurant Week offerings.
2. BASEBALL STARTS TODAY: The first game of the 2012 Major League Baseball season is today at 6:10 a.m. – yup, that's right, a.m. – from Japan. The game will be aired on MLB TV. The Red Sox don't kick off their season until next week, on April 5 against the Tigers in Detroit.
3. RAINY AND COOL: Expect some afternoon showers today, with a high of 51 and a low of 38. More rain is on the way for Thursday, but the sun should return on Friday.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1979, the worst accident in the history of the U.S. nuclear power industry began when a pressure valve in the Unit-2 reactor at Three Mile Island failed to close. The plant came close to meltdown, fueling public fears over nuclear power.
5. SOMETHING NEW IN STORE?: Marshalls is coming, Marshalls is coming! The retail store opens its on Thursday in Epping. We'll have more on this later in the week.
