Free Mason Jar Give Away by Exeter NH Transition Town at Exeter Farmer’s Market on October 2, 2014
LOCAL FOOD = LESS GAS: Visit “Exeter NH Transition Town’s” table at the October 2nd farmer’s market and receive a free mason jar (*first 60 people), beet, and resource sheet on “How to Save the Harvest” that includes freezing, drying, pickling, canning, fermenting, and building a root cellar.

This table will be co-hosted by “Exeter Green Drinks” a local entity forming as a casual monthly meet-up group for anyone who wants to meet like-minded green folks in Exeter. The first meet-up will be on Tuesday, October 14th, 5:30 – 7pm at D2 Java coffee shop located at 155 Water Street. (greendrinks.org/ NH/Exeter)

“Exeter NH Transition Town” (ENHTT) seeks to foster collaboration between any group or individual in Exeter doing or wanting to do green/sustainable projects. The Facebook www.facebook.com/pages/Exeter-NH-Transition-Town strives to be a clearinghouse of information, and people, that have fun being creative and lending a “green helping hand” (our logo) for all of Exeter NH. In addition ENHTT runs four projects annually via a grant from the New England Environment Grassroots Fund. “Transition-Towns” is a global grassroots movement with these goals:
1. move away from fossil fuel dependency
2. gain resiliency to weather and energy shocks
3. more towards economic localization, vibrancy and happiness.
