'Get Fit in May 5K' Race is Coming

With a forecast this week, it may be a good time to start training for the 14th annual "Get Fit in May 5K" in Exeter.

The race, organized by the Exeter PTO, will be held Sat., May 19. The race website can be found here.

Registration fees are $18 before May 12 and $22 after. Children race fees are $7. Along with the 5K, there's a fitness walk and two "Fun Run" courses for children.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Exeter's and .

The race is USATF-certified.

Race day will feature music, mascots, face-painting and refreshments at Lincoln Street School before and after the races. T-shirts wil also be handed out.

Access Sports Medicine is the founding sponsor of the race. There are more than a dozen co-sponsoring organizations.
