Get Ready for the Exeter Fall Festival

Expect fabulous family fun in town on Saturday, Aug. 22.

Join the family fun at the 17th Annual Exeter Fall Festival on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine) in downtown Exeter on Swasey Parkway, according to a press release.

The event is presented by the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by: Foy Insurance; ConvenientMD; Honda Barn; Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics; Exeter Hospital; Cross Insurance; DF Richard; Northeast Credit Union; Exeter Swim & Racquet Club and Seacoast Bounce.

This year’s festival boasts “something for everyone,” from the young to the old. Live music, magic, storytelling, face painting, train rides and plenty of animals are some of the live entertainment throughout the entire day. Add in the craft vendors and food vendors, this year’s festival is something you don’t want to miss!

Back by popular demand, Wildlife Encounters will be on hand with a chance to get up close and personal with creatures of the furry and scale-covered kind. Local magician, Bob Fellows, and children’s entertainer Wayne from Maine, will also be joining us again this year.

New this year, a 5K Road Race will kick off the festival at 9 a.m. This family-friendly course will run through area neighborhoods, beautiful landscapes and end at Swasey Park. Visit exeter5k.com for registration information.

End your day by walking through the downtown area and enjoy some of the unique creations that fill the shops and galleries, along with delectable food and treats; the perfect ending to an enjoyable day.
