GoFundMe Site Set Up for Monument to Honor Stephen Arkell
Brentwood Police Benevolent Association is raising $3,000 for a memorial to the fallen police officer from Exeter.
BRENTWOOD, NH - The Brentwood Police Benevolent Association is attempting to erect a monument (which includes a flagpole) in front of the police department located on Dalton Road in Brentwood, to honor Officer Stephen Arkell, an Exeter resident who worked for the department, who was killed in the line of duty in May 2014.
The association has donated 40 percent of the project funds but has set up a GoFundMe.com effort to raise another $3,000 toward the effort. are seeking the support of business and the community alike to help fund this project.
"This monument will be a daily reminder of Steve's commitment to his family, community, and to our agency," the notice stated. "It will also be the location where we meet annually to honor Steve's sacrifice on May 12."
