Great Bay Charter School Hosts Informational Session
Jan. 22 Event For Students Interested in Fall 2020 Enrollment

EXETER__Great Bay Charter School is hosting an information session on the afternoon of January 22 for prospective students and their families who are interested in enrolling in grades 6 to 12 in the fall.
The session will take place at 3:30 p.m. at the school, located in the Tuck Learning Campus at 30 Linden Street in Exeter. Students will get a chance to meet staff from the school and learn about the school’s project-based learning model of education. Shadow days for interested students will take place of April 9 and 10, with applications due on April 17, 2020.
At the Great Bay Charter School, the teachers facilitate student learning primarily by designing projects focused upon specific learning targets, helping to guide them through the development of various learning artifacts, and assessing those targets learned. Projects are the primary vehicle by which students demonstrate their learning.

Students are encouraged to personalize their learning, both through projects and extended learning opportunities. Each student develops a goals-driven Personalized Learning Plan and works with a faculty advisor regularly.
As a public charter school, GBCS is a tuition-free alternative to larger, traditional public schools, and is open to students from throughout New Hampshire. Once the spring enrollment period has passed, applications for enrollment are processed on a rolling basis and include a written application, in-person interview and shadow day at the school if requested.
