Green Bean Owners Building New Downtown Restaurant

The owners of the Green Bean in downtown Exeter are planning a new restaurant next door.

The new restaurant will go in at the site of the former Trends Gift Gallery shop at 37 Water St. Trends moved to a spot closer to the downtown bandstand.

"We’re in the beginning stages of menu development now," said Green Bean owner Jeff Turner.

Turner said he's also adding about 30 seats to the current Green Bean location at 33 Water St. 

"Those seats will be located where the kitchen is currently located (with) nice river views," he said. "We hope construction starts sometime in November."
