STRATHAM.....On Monday, March 9, 2020, The Stratham Historical Society, jointly with The Wiggin Memorial Library, will present a New Hampshire Humanities Council program titled "The History of Agriculture as Told By Barns". The speaker will be John Porter, a UNH Extension professor/specialist, emeritus and NH Humanities Council presenter.

The program will follow the progression of barn styles that evolved to handle the increased productivity required to meet the needs of a growing population and respond to changes in society caused by the railroad and the Industrial Revolution.

The program is FREE and open to the public. It will start at 7:00 p.m., following a 6:30 meeting of the Stratham Historical Society members. Location: Morgera Community Room, The Stratham Fire Department, corner of Winnicutt Road and Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH
