Holiday Parade Food Drive

The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club would like to remind everyone that during the
Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 7, the Kiwanians will have their Food
Donation Trailer in the parade.  Members
of the Kiwanis sponsored youth groups, Key Club and Builders Club, will walk
along the parade route and collect any donations you bring to the parade.

“As
we begin the holiday season let us all reflect on the blessing we have
received and consider those less fortunate”, said Bill Smith, President
of the Exeter Area Kiwanis.  “We are not asking people to feed an entire
family.  We are simply asking everyone to donate one can or one box.  "If everyone does it we will have plenty,” added Bill.

"Just bring a non-perishable food item or a paper goods product any where along the parade route and we will collect it from you during the parade",  said Bill

The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club is celebrating its 34th year of supporting our community’s
children.  The Kiwanis Club
is a community based organization established to serve the needs of the
community’s children.  As such they have
worked with organizations such as Big Brother/Big Sister, Head Start, Exeter
New Outlook Teen Center, area fire departments, and the American Red
Cross.  They have financially supported
the Exeter Hospital’s Emergency Helicopter Pad and the Mobile Children’s Dental
Van.  They are the proud sponsor of the
Builder’s Club at the Middle School, the Key Club at the High School, and the
Circle K at the University of New Hampshire.

You may know them for their successful road races, golf tournaments, hot

dog sales, or Pizza Bowl.  They now look
forward to the launching this new community service project.
