Veterans' Day Program
The Exeter Arts Committee will be honoring local military service veterans with a short, formal program on Monday, November 11, 2013. Beginning at Noon, there will be posting of the colors by the Winnacunnet ROTC, and playing of all five military hymns by the Exeter High School Band. Following that, local documentarian, Jay Childs will be taping individual interviews with veterans, among whom are two veterans who served in World War II, Korea AND Vietnam; a Navy nurse who is one of only four to receive the Purple Heart; veterans of Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a rare opportunity to see American history, in person!
