Officials Probing Middle School Overheating
Several students fainted in hot classrooms, school officials said.

School officials are working to address the problem of Cooperative Middle School classrooms that get too hot in the summer.
The problem classrooms are on the second floor. During the last school year, a student fainted and several others were sent to the school nurse because they became overheated, according to school officials.
CMS has a heating and cooling system.

School Board members said they will monitor the classrooms this coming summer to determine if better equipment should be purchased to address the problem.
"We want to provide a safe environment ... (and) be fair to the taxpayers," said School Board member Kate Segal.
