Supporters turned out today to highlight the theater revival effort.
Scores of supporters for the revival project rallied downtown this afternoon.
The purpose was to draw attention to the Exeter Theater Company's goal of getting 1,000 donors by the end of this month. It has nearly 600 so far.
The theater company is working with to revive the Ioka. Lewis won a for the theater – paying nearly double its assessed value.

The theater company is trying to get 1,000 donors to prove there's wide support for the project. When that goal is met, Lewis is prepared to lease the theater to the company for $1 a year for 99 years.
