The Exeter Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are pleased to announce that chapter member, Jennifer Roy, received the “Women in the Arts” award in June.

The DAR Women in the Arts Recognition Award, bestowed by the National DAR American Heritage Committee, recognizes and honors a woman who has exhibited excellence in her chosen art genre at the community level.

Jennifer was recognized in the fiber arts design and creation category. Jennifer weaves and designs colonial period clothes and is a living-history educator. She and her husband formed a non-profit, Capt. Henry Dearborn’s Company: NH Regiment, and are often invited to give programs at historical organizations in the greater Seacoast area.
