Joe Hill Launches 'NOS4A2' in Exeter

Exeter author Joe Hill captivated a crowd of more than 100 fans who crowded Water Street Bookstore tonight during the launch event for his newest book, "NOS4A2."

Hill, the son of horror author Stephen King, is making a name for himself in the same genre as his father.

Hill's new book is described as a supernatural thriller featuring an antagonist named Charles Talent Manx, who rides a 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith with the "NOS4A2" vanity license plate. The plate sounds out "Nosferatu," a silent 1922 film based on the Dracula story.

"My book in some ways is a reimagining of Dracula," Hill said.

"NOS4A2" is Hill's first novel since 2010's "Horns." Hill also wrote "Heart-Shaped Box," which he launched at Water Street Bookstore.

"This is my hometown bookstore," Hill said. "It's one of my favorite bookstores in the world. You won't find nicer people anywhere in the world than the people who work here."

Hill also writes comics and has a massive following on Twitter, with more than 165,000 followers.
