John F. Habig Promoted at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management

PORTSMOUTH – Morgan Stanley announced the promotion of John F. Habig to the position of Executive Director, Financial Advisor in the firm’s Wealth Management Office in Portsmouth. 

Habig was honored in 2013 for the fourth consecutive year in Barron’s Annual list of  “America’s Top 1,000 Advisors”.  This state-by-state ranking of financial consultants is determined by a review of assets under management, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work.

A respected leader with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and its predecessor firms since 1985 and resident of the seacoast for 26 years, Habig brings trusted guidance, professionalism and altruistic concern for human welfare and advancement to the community in which he serves.

With a history of making substantial donations and fundraising contributions to the Greater Seacoast United Way for many years, Habig and his wife Kelly began making major gifts to Families First of Portsmouth in 2005. This gifting evolved over the years into a donation challenge program that fundraises for the non-profit. John and Kelly have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities supporting health and family services throughout the seacoast.
