Jordan Joins UNH Cooperative Extension As County Forester
For the past 11 years, Greg Jordan has worked as a consulting forester in southeastern NH, with nearly half that time in Rockingham County.

BRENTWOOD, NH — Greg Jordan has taken the reins as UNH Cooperative Extension’s Rockingham County forester, according to a press statement. He will work with landowners, communities, partners and other stakeholders to provide advice on managing woodlots and caring for community forests and trees. In addition to the traditional Extension service to large woodlot owners, Jordan will work with new Hillsborough County forester Ethan Belair to develop resources and programs for small woodlot owners.
Jordan is no stranger to UNH. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in forestry from UNH in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He studied alongside some of Extension’s other Natural Resources staff, including two of our county foresters.
Jordan is also familiar with Rockingham County. For the past 11 years, he worked as a consulting forester in southeastern New Hampshire, with nearly half that time in Rockingham County. He liked the variety of work as a consulting forester.

“You never know what you’ll be doing day to day,” said Jordan.
He looks forward to bringing his knowledge of the area’s forests and the wood products market, and his connections in the forestry industry, to Rockingham County residents. “I know the landscape, the products and the people,” says Jordan.
