KIWANIS HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE

As the Exeter area
prepares to Ring in the Holidays, the
Exeter Area Kiwanis Club would like everyone to know that they will be
collecting food and paper goods for area food pantries.  Canned goods and other non-perishable goods (rice,
pasta, flour, sugar, etc.) will be happily accepted.  In addition, paper products such as napkins,
paper plates, and paper towels are always in demand.

Exeter Area Kiwanis will have their Donation Trailer by the Bandstand on Water Street each evening from 5 PM – 8 PM starting on Thursday, December 5 through Sunday,December 8.  Anyone wishing to donate may do so by placing it in the trailer.

During the
Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 7, the Kiwanians will have their Food
Donation Trailer in the parade.  Members
of the Kiwanis sponsored youth groups, Key Club and Builders Club, will walk
along the parade route and collect any donations you bring to the parade.

“As we begin the holiday season let us all reflect on the blessing we have received and consider those less fortunate”, said Bill Smith, President of the Exeter Area Kiwanis.  “We are not asking people to feed an entire family.  We are simply asking everyone to donate one can or one box.  "If everyone does it we will have plenty,” added Bill.

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.  Kiwanis International and its family of clubs devote more than 18 million volunteer hours and invest more than $107 million annually in their communities around the world.  For more information regarding Kiwanis visit www.Kiwanis.org.

The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club is celebrating its 34th year of supporting our community’s
children.  The Kiwanis Club
is a community based organization established to serve the needs of the
community’s children.  As such they have
worked with organizations such as Big Brother/Big Sister, Head Start, Exeter
New Outlook Teen Center, area fire departments, and the American Red
Cross.  They have financially supported
the Exeter Hospital’s Emergency Helicopter Pad and the Mobile Children’s Dental
Van.  They are the proud sponsor of the
Builder’s Club at the Middle School, the Key Club at the High School, and the
Circle K at the University of New Hampshire.

You may know them for their successful road races, golf tournaments, hot

dog sales, or Pizza Bowl.  They now look
forward to the launching this new community service project.
