Like Clockwork, Another Day and Another Obamacare Delay

The Obama Administration announced today it would unilaterally extend the open enrollment period for purchasing health insurance beyond the previously scheduled March 31st deadline.

In response to this delay, Frank Guinta released the following statement:

“Another day and another delay. This morning, the Obama Administration delayed yet another portion of Obamacare. This is just the latest in a long line of political gimmicks used in order to advance their political agenda at the expense of middle-class Granite Staters. Premiums have increased, thousands have lost both their doctors and their insurance, while seniors recently saw cuts to Medicare Advantage.

This law is devastating to New Hampshire. Instead of the top down, government run approach to health care thrust upon us by Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, we need to open up the marketplace and permit the purchasing of health insurance across state lines. We also can implement tort reform to drive down costs and increase transparency in health care. These are just a few of the solutions I would propose to improve access to affordable, quality health care for all Granite Staters.”
