Local Farms Proudly Growing Delicious Food for Our Communities Since 1977

Shoppers of seacoast farmer's markets are excited about the availability of fresh local ingredients.

The Thursday Exeter farmers’ market is a breeding ground for local produce from the area’s most diverse farms. Run by its members and 2 employees, exceptional food with little to no travel is at the forefront of our mission. For 39 years the growing family at the Seacoast Growers Association organizes farmers’ markets made up of 60% agriculture producers, 20% artisan crafters and 20% prepared food vendors from within Rockingham, Strafford NH and York county ME.

When you find yourself along the Swasey Parkway between 2:15 and 6, one thing’s for certain, the food tastes better. Items such as cream, yogurt and raw milk, endless cuts of pork, beef, chicken, lamb, bison, rabbit, goat and your seasonal New England fruits and vegetables are readily available. With over 39 vendors to choose from we expect you and your family will be beaming with fulfillment. Found that perfect salad mix and gluten free quesadilla? Of course you did! You’re satisfied and supporting the local community, and that’s something to appreciate.

At market you’ll hear jovial folks chatting and asking their farmer’s questions like, “Where is the best place to plant this? Do red Russian kale and curly kale taste the same, or how do you recommend I cook this steak?” No matter what you’re looking for, who you need to feed, need a birthday gift or a mid-day social, you’ll be checking off items on your list. With convenient locations in Dover, Durham, Portsmouth and Exeter you just may have to visit them all!
