Man Arrested for Ducking Out on $150 Bar Tab
Jason Bean allegedly opened a tab for a group of friends and then left because he didn't have any money.

An Epping man was arrested early Tuesday morning after running out on a $150 tab at a bar in Manchester.
Jason Bean, 29, is charged with theft of services and resisting arrest. According to Manchester Police, he used his ID to open a tab for a group of acquaintances at J.W. Hill's on Elm Street, saying that one member of the group would pay. When the group suddenly left the bar, Bean left as well since he didn't have any money. Two employees followed him, catching up to him downtown. He said he would lead them to his friends, but then ran from them near Canal and Spring streets.
Manchester Police responded to J.W. Hill's around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a call from restaurant staffers who were concerned that the two employees had not returned after chasing after Bean.

As officers began to check the area, they received a second call that the two employees were still chasing one of the suspects. The officers responded there and encountered the two employees, who pointed out Bean as he attempted to scale a fence near the railroad tracks.
Police called out for Bean to stop, but he continued to flee, hopping the fence and running toward Bedford Street, where he was ultimately arrested.
