A local man is scheduled to a face trial on heroin charges after a run-in with police in November.
Robert Ayles, 30, who's currently housed at the Rockingham County Jail, was recently indicted on two counts of heroin possession. An indictment means a grand jury has determined a trial is warranted based on evidence in the case.
Exeter police on Nov. 17 said they found Ayles with a quantity of heroin and a heroin-filled syringe.
