Local Students to Compete in DI Finals

The competition will be held Saturday in Hampton.

A group of students from the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham is among 98 teams from across the state who will compete in Saturday's Destination ImagiNation state finals in Hampton.

The local team competed in the regional competition on March 17 in Kingston, advancing to the state finals. Teams moving on Saturday will advance to the Global Finals at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in late May.

Destination ImagiNation incorporates core school subjects, with a focus on technical, scientific, arts-based, improvisational, structural or social-learning. The teams have worked since the fall to create a solution to showcase their creativity, teamwork and innovation.
