Local Woman Charged in Nursing Home Drug Theft

Authorities said she stole from a patient.

A local woman this week was arrested for allegedly stealing drugs from a nursing home where she worked.

Alissa Durgin, 30, of Raymond was charged with felony-level drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of abusing a patient.

The state Attorney General's office said Durgin stole a fentanyl patch from a patient at Colonial Poplin nursing home in Fremont.

Durgin's nursing license was suspended.

She's scheduled to appear in court Aug. 9.

The AG's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit led the investigation into Durgin.
