Exeter High's Laurent Makes Football Pick

The kicker will attend a university in the Northeast.

Exeter High School kicker Logan Laurent, who helped lead the Blue Hawks to a two straight state football titles, has committed to play for the University of Massachusetts–Amherst.

Laurent made the commitment last week, according to ESPN.

"I kind of figured out that I wanted to play close to home, and it's cool that UMass plays its home games at Gillette Stadium (in Foxborough, Mass.)," Laurent told ESPN.

Laurent is a place kicker, field goal kicker, and can punt.

He made four field goals and had 36 touchbacks in 2012, according to ESPN.
