Maine Woman Charged with Uttering False Prescriptions

NHSP: Woman arrested after investigation into incidents at the Hannaford Supermarket in Exeter.

A woman was charged earlier this week after a two-month investigation into false prescription allegations, according to a report.

Amanda Erwin, 34, of Birch Hill Road in York, ME, was arrested on June 17, 2015, and charged with uttering false prescriptions.

New Hampshire State Police allege that Erwin was using the false prescriptions at the Hannaford Supermarket in Exeter. The New Hampshire State Police Narcotics and Investigations Unit spent two months investigating the case, according to the report. She turned herself in to Newington Police and released on personal recognizance bail. Erwin is due in Brentwood District Court on Sept. 10.
