Man Charged with Lewdness at Exeter Library

Police arrested an Exeter man this week after they said he masturbated at the Exeter Public Library.

Allan Harrison, 59, of Exeter was charged with one misdemeanor count of indecent exposure/lewdness.

Police said on May 8, a woman reported she observed Harrison gratifying himself at the library. Police said they found Harrison was apparently doing so to pornography on his laptop computer.

Harrison was released on $1,000 bail on the condition he stay away from the library. He's scheduled to appear in Exeter District Court Aug. 5.

Police said Harrison was arrested on similar charges in 2009 at a University of New Hampshire library.
