Manchester Man Ejected from Pickup During Route 101 Crash

NHSP are investigating an incident this morning near Exit 7 that sent one driver to the hospital.

EPPING, NH — The New Hampshire State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash this morning on Route 101 that sent a driver from Manchester to Exeter Hospital with serious injuries, according to a report. Troopers from Troop A were sent to the eastbound side of the highway at Exit 7 where they found 1999 Ford F-350 down an embankment.

According to the initial investigation, at just before 7 a.m. on Dec. 21, 2016, the truck was traveling east and, for an unknown reason, left the highway, veered up onto a guardrail, and rolled down the embankment by the Exit 7 on-ramp.

The driver – a 46-year-old man from Manchester – was transported by EMTs to the hospital.

“The cause of the accident is under investigation,” said Lt. Christopher Vetter of the NHSP, “however there were no signs of alcohol or drug impairment.”

Morning commuter traffic was not affected by the crash. The New Hampshire State Police, Troop-A were assisted by Epping Police Department, The Epping, Brentwood and East Kingston Fire Departments and NH Department of Transportation.
