Mass. Man Pleads Guilty to Gun Charge
Scott McNutt was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm in November 2014. He was previously convicted of felony intent to distribute.

CONCORD, NH – A Massachusetts man pled guilty to a gun charge in U.S. District Court, according to a press statement.
Scott McNutt, 57, to a single count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person in violation of federal law.
On Nov. 28, 2014, McNutt was stopped for a traffic violation and found in possession of a stolen firearm, according to U.S. Attorney Emily Gray Rice. McNutt was prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition because he was previously convicted of felony possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.

"McNutt’s plea agreement included a binding stipulated sentence of 12 months incarceration," Rice noted.
A sentencing will be held on Oct. 11, 2016. At that time, the court will decide whether to accept the plea agreement and impose the agreed-upon period of incarceration.

The case was investigated by the Exeter Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
