Mexican Yarn Painting Artist To Visit Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in Exeter
Restaurant hosts artist from Mexico through its Visiting Artist Program.
EXETER, NH — Cilau Valadez, a Mexican yarn painting artist, will be at the Exeter Margaritas as part of the restaurant’s Visiting Artist Program. Valadez will demonstrate his art and interact with guests from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
Valadez is a fourth-generation Huichol yarn painter from Santiago Ixcuintla, Mexico. Valadez’s art has been on exhibit in North America, Europe, and Asia and featured at the United Nations, the Museum of International Folk Art, and at events sponsored by National Geographic.
Margaritas hosts Mexican artists each year through this program, and the artist tours local schools, museums, and Margaritas locations throughout New England as part of its mission to bring authentic, educational and entertaining experiences to its guests. The program started in 1999.
