Stratham Cooperative Middle School music students will join the salsa group Grupo Mofongo Friday for a fundraiser to support the music program.
The event will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults and $7 for students/seniors. Tickets can be purchased at Exeter Music, , RiverRun Bookstore, at the door, or online at www.cmsmusicboosters.org.
Prior to taking the stage, Grupo Mofongo will visit the school’s music classroom to conduct an artists-in-residence class. CMS percussion students will join the band onstage that night to perform.
The event will also feature an exhibit from local artist Deb Wheeler-Bean, hors d’oeuvres courtesy of The Meat House of Exeter, and raffles for a variety of prizes. All proceeds benefit the CMS music education program.
