New Hampshire is a community, like a small town, where we know each other well and we tolerate our differences with each other. We may disagree on things, but we try to stay together because that is what quality of life is all about.
That is why Republicans, Democrats, and all Americans, must fight back, and fight back hard against the racism of Donald Trump. When I say βfight backβ I mean verbally, in writing, in your purchasing actions, in your TV viewing, reject Donald Trump and those promoting him in all forms.
Do not be fooled. Do not be taken in by Cable News television stations that constantly promote Donald Trump as someone purportedly suitable to be handed the reins of power over the United States of America. We are a democracy, but it you listen to Donald Trump carefully, democracy and freedom for all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, ethnicity, religion, is not what he is promoting. Donald Trump is promoting fascism. If you donβt know what that is, I will tell you. Fascism is a form of political ideology that incites hatred and violence against minority groups by creating an βUsβ against βThemβ mentality in the majority group, by pointing to particular minority groups and selecting them out for virulent attacks. Donald Trump is doing this right now. Donald Trump is not a nice guy, as many in the news media would have you believe.
βBirtherismβ, which Donald Trump promotes, involves the constant repetition of the lie that our first African American President, Barack Obama, is somehow not a real American. Barack Obama, our President, is a 100 percent real American. Birtherism is racist.

No, Donald Trump is not a nice guy. Donald Trump is the new David Duke.
David Duke was a Ku Klux Klan leader from Louisiana who tried to run for President in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Like Trump, Duke was an overt racist, and had a clear past of making bigoted statements, wearing the Klan white hooded gear, and promoting white supremacist ideas. Like Trump, when Duke started to get a national audience for his promotion of hate, Duke would pretend that he did not understand why people would call him a racist. The underlying message of David Duke, as it is with Donald Trump, was that white supremacy and racist ideology could be packaged as something as American as Wonder Bread and apple pie. A key component of what Trump is doing to promote hatred is his attempt to portray himself as a regular guy whose virulent attacks on our President and on people from minority groups are just the regular thoughts of regular people.

Donald Trump is spouting a dangerous ideology, and he is exploiting and abusing, for personal gain and to promote hatred, our countryβs longstanding and cherished tradition of freedom of speech.
But check it out people, the First Amendment does not protect speech that incites violence. Speech that actually causes hate to come to fruition as a physical reality is against the law.
Hatred is what Donald Trump is promoting in seeking to denigrate and attack constantly with lies our President, Barack Obama.
These racist attacks on our President are not only harmful in a personal way to minority individuals and fair-minded people everywhere, but Donald Trumpβs attacks based on hatred for particular groups of people is actually anti-American and harmful to the standing of the United States in the world.
New Hampshire, the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, and the American People, all need to come together to say loudly and clearly to Donald Trump: We reject you Donald Trump!!!
We know who you are Donald Trump. We know what youβre doing. We reject you and your racist ideology Donald Trump.
