Police are in the midst of an investigation after a female student told them she was sexually assaulted in 2009.

Another aspect of the investigation is a sexually explicit screenplay that the trio wrote called "Graduation Crashers."

The Union Leader detailed the script, which is set at a high school.

Superintendent Michael Morgan said school officials were made aware of the script after the trio distributed it to members of the high school community.

Batchelder and Grossmith had lawyers who negotiated their resignations, Morgan said, while Forbes resigned on his own.

Morgan said he's searching for their replacements for the next school year.
