Exeter Green Bean Continues to Branch Out

The popular restaurant plans on opening a new location in New Castle at the Wentworth by the Sea marina. The seasonal spot will have a beer/wine list along with the Green Bean's selections of sandwiches and other food.
Green Bean owners Lori Whitney and Jeff Turner are also planning on adding a wood patio in the courtyard of their Exeter location.

"Things have been good," Whitney said after their plan for the wood patio was approved by Exeter's Historic District Commission Thursday night.
The patio will take up about a third of the existing courtyard and help protect trees that give shade for customers eating outdoors.

"It's beautiful," said commission member Ron Schutz.
The exisiting white picket fence will be kept. The entrance gate through the fence will be moved to the left (from the direction of looking at the courtyard).
The New Castle location is scheduled to open Memorial Day (May 28). The owners plan on having it open until Labor Day (the beginning of September) every year.
The Green Bean also has a location at the Pease Tradeport .
