Musicians Holding Concert Fundraiser for Injured Friend
Slate of bands to perform, donations will be accepted at Exeter concert Aug. 14.

A number of bands are putting together a concert on Aug. 14, to help out a friend who was involved in a bad long boarding accident earlier this summer.
David Corson and Beth Dupell have put together a night of music and dancing from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in Swasey Park in Exeter, in an effort to raise money for Robbie McCluskey and his family to help “lighten the burden for them,” according to Corson.
After the music, there will be a movie shown too, that has been put together by the town, he noted.

From 5 to 5:25 p.m., Downtown Velvet Smooth, featuring Jake Wheeler, Matt Spitz, Matt Dean, Ty Cloyd, and Graham Peterson will be performing followed by Corson, from 5:30 to 6:25 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., Freevolt take the stage.
“This is a very important show for me,” Corson said. “It’s all about raising money for a friend in need and getting the town together to show support. I have talked with Robbie about the concert and he is absolutely ecstatic that people are thinking of him.”

Corson said he was ”very grateful” that Dupell helped organize the show because he wouldn’t have been able to do it on his own.
“This is a great way to help Robbie recover and to help the community come closer together through music,” he said.
