National Sake Day is Oct 1!

In honor of National Sake Day (Oct. 1), Kume Japanese Steakhouse– the new popular destination for contemporary Japanese cuisine and a noted celebrity hotspot – is offering a variety of delicious and refreshing sake flights and sake cocktails featuring premier sake brand Gekkekian.

Kume will pay tribute and honor sake on this special day of celebration with sake tasting and complimentary sushi bites.

Additionally, Kume will offer, a fragrant, well-balanced sake of the premier Zipang, exclusively to National Sake Day guests for $10 per bottle. Sake flights will also be featured with three premier brands at $8. Premier sake by the glass will also be available.

To expand on the spirit for which this holiday was created, Gekkekian sommelier Jon Hildreth will be on hand for tastings of a selection of sake from the Japanese premium brand as well as provide insight into the deep tradition of sake and its place in history. Hildreth, an industry veteran, has been creating sake cocktails for Gekkeikan, one of the oldest family-operated businesses in the world and is the world’s leading sake brands.Gekkeikan Sake is naturally brewed and contains no added sulfites.

National Sake Day will be celebrated on October 1, 2014 at Kume Japanese steakhouse located at 1 Brickyard square in Epping , NH. Tastings hours are 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Enjoy Live music by Dan Walker with his soulful Americana style.
