New Breakfast/Lunch Spot in Exeter

No, it has nothing to do with the "Jersey Shore."

There's a new breakfast/lunch spot in Exeter—and no, the name has nothing to do with the "Jersey Shore" television show.

Snooky's—named after owner Karen Snook—recently opened at 137 Epping Rd. near the Rinks at Exeter. The restaurant replaces Merrill's Place bar.

"Everything's homemade," said Snook, an Exeter resident.

She said "Snooky" has been a family nickname for years—well before Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi from "Jersey Shore" became a household name.

An affordable array of breakfast and lunch options are available at Snooky's. A full menu can be found at right.

Their corned beef hash is made there and doesn't come from a can, Snook said. She said their specialities are hamburgers, fish, clam chowder, and soups like tomato basil and corn chowder.

The restaurant is available for private parties. A gift certificate special is being offered—$20 gets you a $25 gift certificate that can be used for cash-only transactions.

Snooky's is open Mon.-Fri from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sat.-Sun. 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 603-583-5275 for takeout.
