New Exeter Restaurant to Open

A new sub shop will soon open in Exeter.

Nadeau's, which operates five locations across the state, will open its sixth at the former Gandolfo's NY Delicatessen on Portsmouth Avenue in Exeter.

Gandolfo's closed in March after the owners said "the economy (got) the best of us."

Nadeau's serves Philly cheese steaks, Black Angus hamburgers, and salads, among other items. It's currently hiring workers for the new Exeter location, which is scheduled to open sometime this summer.

The new eatery is located at 48 Portsmouth Ave. next to Walgreens. The adjoining storefront, previously occupied by Wicked Fun Art, is currently vacant.

Nadeau's has four locations in Manchester and one in Concord.
