New Movie Theater to Open This Fall

A huge new movie theater in Epping should be ready to open in late fall, a company spokeswoman confirmed this week.

"We don't have an opening date yet. We are looking at late October, early November," said Lacee Donohoe, manager of the Londonderry O'Neil Cinemas.

She said the building is "almost up" and crews are doing drywall and electrical work now. The construction work is being done by Portsmouth-based DeStefano & Associates, among other companies.

The new theater will be located in the Brickyard Square development at the intersection of routes 125 and 101. The plaza also houses a Market Basket, and . The developers announced on their Facebook page last month that a new Kume Sushi Hibachi is scheduled to open in the plaza in early fall.

The new theater will have 12 screens, five 3D screens, motion seats, and more. Best of all for Exeter residents – it will be about twice as close as the next closest movie theater, Regal Cinemas in Newington.
